Alloy 410 (UNS S41000)
Alloy 410 is a martensitic stainless steel supplied in the annealed or heat-treated condition. It offers moderate corrosion resistance along with good strength and hardness, making it suitable for applications requiring wear resistance.
This grade can be hardened by heat treatment and exhibits good machinability in the annealed condition. Alloy 410 is commonly used in valve components, pump shafts, fasteners, and turbine parts where a combination of strength and corrosion resistance is required.
